"The Virtual Library of Bibliographical Heritage is a cooperative project of the Ministry of Culture and the Autonomous Regions, which aims to distribute printed books and manuscripts from Spanish historical heritage by digital facsimile.

This initiative will give users unrestricted access to sources which are, by their very nature, difficult to access. 911.351 pages are available from more than 3.218 books kept at Public State Libraries. Other institutions with heritage resources have also entered into the agreement and have started participating."

Zotero 2.0

Ich freunde mich in letzter Zeit zunehmend mit diesem praktischen Tool an und finde es mittlerweile eine sehr praktische Sache, gerade dann, wenn man nicht gerade "systematisch" am bibliographieren ist. Was natürlich nicht heißt, dass man es dafür nicht nutzen könnte.

Wie dem auch sei. Die eigentliche Neuigkeit ist, dass seit gestern eine ganz neue Version als Beta zu haben ist, deren vermutlich wichtigste Neuerung ist, dass man künftig (ein bisschen Facebook mäßig) eine persönliche Seite anlegen und Gruppen zum kollaborativen arbeiten gründen kann.

Harvard University Library hat eine wirklich schöne Quellensammlung zum Thema Epidemiegeschichte unter dem Titel "Contagion" erstellt und etliches aus ihren Beständen dazu digitalisiert:
